Customer Focus - Bob Hagan

This great hack was sent to us from Bob Hagan.  Notice the detail achieved in the texture he used for the background.

"It was made on a CNC Shark HD Pro."

Bob used his copy of Vectric's VCarve Pro V8 to create his layout.

"(models used are) by Design and Make, which is Deep In The Wild. The woodgrain background is from the, Elk Scenes."

Both of those projects are included in the Wildlife Scenes Collection and are bundled together for a special proce.

"The Celtic Knot Frame is from Vectric."

It is easy to overlook the free clip-art that gets installed with your Vectric software.  In this case Bob took advantage of the Celtic weaves... nice choice!

"It is made on 1” thick cedar, it is 21” tall and 24” wide. It has 3 clear coats of lacquer."

"Thank you for noticing the detail. I really enjoy your software."

Thank you Bob for sharing your project with us!

Hack of the Week No.115

"Loons on the Lake"

September is just a few weeks away,  Those of you that have had time this summer to spend on the lake you're sure to have heard the sounds of the loons early in the morning.  That scene, that you find yourself waking too, is something that deserves its own carving to sit on your mantel during those cold winter months.

"Loons on the Lake"

This loon inspired layout was created using models from these projects:

Note - This hack was assembled in Aspire V8 for presentation purposes.  It could have been done in VCarve Pro V8 or VCarve Desktop.

Why not hack together your own layout mixing and matching models from other projects or from your own library!  For some great inspiration check out our  hacks page!

John's updated wet bar... is pretty wild!

Using the Wildlife Scenes Collection John Mordus totally transformed his wet bar into some pretty nice looking storage!

After the transformation!

Before

"I finally broke down and got the wildlife series.

These are not very original as far as the layout but I redid my wet bar and
turned it into a more useful use of space. So I tried a little 3d carving
on the maple cabinet doors. Don't think it turned out too very bad. Bet I
got the only doors like this on the block!"

John we are pretty sure everyone will agree they look fantastic!
