Hack of the Week No.113

"and they lived Happily Ever After"

Spring, Summer and Fall are traditionally the high seasons for people tying the knot.  It's alway a good idea to have a wedding or anniversary CNC project idea in our back pocket just incase a surprise invite arrives in the mail.

"and they lived Happily Ever After"

This wedding/anniversary inspired layout was created using models from these projects:

The font we used to simulate the v-carving on this layout is called:  MonoType Corsiva

Note - This hack was assembled in Aspire V8 for presentation purposes.  It could have been done in VCarve Pro V8 or VCarve Desktop.

Hack of the Week No.95

With Easter coming up this weekend we thought it might be a good time to create a hack with more of a religious theme.

This "Be Blessed" wall decoration was created using models from these projects:

The font we used to simulate the v-carving is called: Academia SSK

Very nice hack James!

James Patton sent in this finished piece after we released the hack.

"So this hack inspired me to create my own.

The ribbon and panel were included with the VCarve software. The cross from the praying (cowboy) scene and the rose from the broken tiles collection.

Just thought I’d share..."

The Design and Make Team

Our first Medical Professional themed CNC project is here!

Caduceus - One Possible Layout

Rod of Asclepius - Another possible layout

If you are looking for medical help one of the first symbols you look for is made up of two intertwined snakes wrapping around a staff with a set of wings.  This is know as a "caduceus" and has been mistakenly adopted as the universal symbol for a medical professional.

Historically speaking, the "Rod of Asclepius" should have been the layout.  With it's one snake wrapped around a staff it should be more prominently "associated with healing and medicine" and is in some cases.

In order to keep everyone happy we have included all of the parts to make either symbol in one project. They are not limited to that, so have fun hacking the models together with ones in other projects or models in your library.
