Harry and Kendra Squier are Hacking it up!

The Squier's have caught our attention again with a couple of project images they sent in over the last few months!

"The project was carved with radiata pine on our Shapeoko3. We finished it with a variety of Varathane wood stains. The hammered metal area is Rustoleum pewter paint and the whole thing has brown glazing over it to add depth and detail to the colors. Finally a couple of coats of Zinser shellac to seal it."

The use of all of the fall colors of stain realy make this project a winner!!

"Here's a wreath we did from the holiday packages with the banner from the Thanksgiving pack."

What a great rustic finish it really gives the project a nice character. Hacking the models from the Home for the Holidays No.1 and The Thanksgiving No.1 projects gives a new meaning to a seasonal project.

"We are having so much fun with the project packs."

That is what we like to hear!!!  It sure looks like you guys are having a great time.

Tony Duderewicz's Welcome Sign!

Nothing pairs better with Family and Friends than a good bottle wine or a great looking welcome sign!

"Welcome Family & Friends"

"Here is a welcome sign I did out of maple with a English chestnut stain. Used the models from Wine Bar #1, and the font is called "Lobster 1.4". I used V-Carve Pro from Vectric to design it."

Tony also used the heart from free Heat and Ribbon Getting Started project.  Pocketing around the models give the sign a great old wine cellar look!  This layout could be easily customized for all sorts of uses.  How about a wedding gift, cellar sign or maybe even an anniversary gift.

Thanks Tony for the great inspiration and taking the time to share your finished project with us!

"Our latest project for the fall!! These sure were a lot of fun to make. Friends and neighbors love them so look like we get to make some more."

Great use of the Thanksgiving No.1 project and hacking in models that came with their Vectric software!

Close up to show the wonderful finish.

"We used Vectric V-Carve Pro with the Laguna IQ Pro router. We used the models from Thanksgiving No.1 and the apples and maple leaf from the Vectric program."

We love that they hacked in models that came free with their software to make a more interesting layout!  It's easy to forget that with V-Carve Pro you get over 300 free 3D clipart models!

"The font used is Cambria and the designs are from Soft Ornaments 9 from Fonts Addict. Finish includes a mixture of assorted stains (Sanoma Red, Ipswitch Pine, Natural, Red Oak, and Gun Stock). The green color was made up from a concoction of green Testers paint and Natural stain.

And another wonderful finished piece that is sure to inspire others to mix 3D with 2D to make a stunning wall decoration!

"Here's another one we finished last night too. It's the wagon wheel from Western Saloon 3 and the E is Oklahoma font from Fonts Addict. The size is 23"diameter. "
