Welcome to "Tiki Island" where the weather is always warm and the locals are always willing to have you over for supper (insert flash back to an old cartoon with a large black pot of boiling water and a gray bunny enjoying a carrot and a hot bath... or so he thinks.).
As you have probably already noticed, this project is a bit different than may of the others we offer. What are you going to do with a tiki mask and a pile of bamboo pieces? Make letters of course.
We have designed a few neat features into this project that will make it easier to layout almost any letter or symbol:
- there are 4 long and 2 short pieces of bamboo.
- the ends of the bamboo pieces are cut in a way that they can be slightly overlapped to make a more solid letter.
- 2 of the large pieces of bamboo have a rough section to allow you to make a more interesting font.
- we have included a "Letter Key" to help you layout a full set of 26 uppercase letters. Be sure to save them off in your clip-art library so you don't need to re-build them next time you need them.
It would be good to note that this project might be your ticket off "Tiki Island" if the locals get a bit rowdy. Making that "HELP ME!" sign to flag down the next passing ship would be easier than talking yourself out of that dinner invite!

Hack this Project!
The "Don't Mock The Tiki" was made using the models from the following projects:
- Plank Sign - Pop's Tool Shop No.2

"Tiki" word was assembled using the bamboo pieces in the Tiki Bar No.2 project. Pretty cool EH!
