Jevon has done it again!

We love the suggestions that our customers submit to us.  Jevon Lewis was one of the first to ask us to create a Pick-Up League Football mini-project.

So we did!

"It was good to see a project that I had request end up being added to the CNCminiprojects and has come out exactly like I wanted it to."

"This was really a test piece so I did it in MDF also chose to use inlays versus v-carving the name and numbers just to add depth and make it easier to finish using different colors. Using inlays allowed me to spray the pieces separately instead of having to use masks. The jersey will sit inside a plaque (yet to be milled) that will be stained."

As you can see Jevon makes our projects look FANTASTIC!!!

Jevon is "WeekendCNCWarrior" Approved already seeing as he sent us images of his work using the Mothers Garden No.1 mini-project.  Click this link to see his other post!

Hack of the Week No.4

The great thing about our mini-projects is that you can mix and match the models or add in your own.

Our weekly mini-project hack uses models from 2 different projects!

This hack is a pretty simple one but will have a HUGE impact celebrating that unforgettable game while being a super nice addition to your sports shrine (or man cave).

The mini-projects used are:

We simulated in a bit of v-carving using the GeoSlab font!!!

Have fun hacking together your special project!

Tom Watson you are "Weekend CNC Warrior" Approved!

It is true what they say "a picture is worth a thousand words"... thank goodness seeing as there is no way we can describe Tom's wonderful work, we're just going to let his pictures do it for us.

Tom used our Pick-Up League Football mini-project and a layout we included on the project sheet to create these super plaques!

"I use a PDJ Pilot Pro cnc, http://www.pdjinc.com/.

I use Aspire software and it is carved in western red cedar.

The paint I use is Behr Premium Plus sample size paint from Home Depot and it is clear coated with Cabot Gloss Spar Varnish."

The finish on these is over the top and makes our mini-projects look so great!

Tom also treated us to a glimpse of a work in progress.

Using his own cribbage board layout and the football jersey from the football mini-project he just might have created the perfect pastime for off season football withdrawal!

Thanks again Tom for sharing your great work.  Check out more of Tom's creations on his website - www.signsinwood.com
