Hack of the Week No.80

Happy December 1st!  This SPECIAL extra Hack of the Week has been inspired by the official countdown to Christmas day!

The sign could have 2 dowels added to hang the number tags on them. The tags could be simple VCarved pieces with a hole so they can be swapped out each day to keep the excitement going!

This "Christmas Countdown" sign layout was created using models from these CNC projects:

The font we used to simulate the v-carving on this layout is called: Juice ITC

Note - This hack was assembled in Aspire V8 for presentation purposes.  It could have been done in VCarve Pro V8 or VCarve Desktop.

Why not hack together your own layout mixing and matching models from other projects or from your own library!  For some great inspiration check out our  hacks page!

Hack of the Week No.79

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us it's time to look at the next big holiday.  This week's hack pulls together 3 of our "Home for the Holidays" CNC Projects to create this pillar candle holder.  It would make a perfect gift or centerpiece of a friends get together or family gathering.

This "Holiday Pillar Candle Holder" layout was created using models from these CNC projects:

The font we used to simulate the v-carving on this layout is called: Gabiola (edited)

It's easy to "be Merry and Bright", thanks to Don!

Don Harding sent us in these great pieces he made using the Home for the Holidays No.5. He took the time to download the extra free content, watch the video we made and followed it to a "t". The results are pretty great!

He made 6 of them - "(2) Blackwalnut (2) Red Oak (2) White Birch" and each took about "1 Hour 13 min"... not bad!

What a great gift for the holidays. Thanks Don!!!!

Thanks again Don for sharing these projects with us!
