Hack of the Week No.78

This time of the year, with Thanksgiving in the US just around the bend, we should take the time to reflect on what is most important to us.

This "Family is the key to Everything" wall decor piece was created using models from these CNC projects:

The fonts we used to simulate the v-carving on this layout are called: Monotype Corsiva

Note - This hack was assembled in Aspire V8 for presentation purposes.  It could have been done in VCarve Pro V8 or VCarve Desktop.

Thanks Don!

Getting ready for the VCarving!

Why not hack together your own layout mixing and matching models from other projects or from your own library!  For some great inspiration check out our  hacks page!

Jevon and a great Coat of Arms hack!

If you are a regular visitor to our site you are sure to have seen the name Jevon.  We can't say enough about this guys work and how awesome it is to be apart of his projects.

Jevon sent us in this great picture of a finished project he made hacking together a few of our coat of arms models and some models he had in his own personal library.

The flourishes and top ribbon he used are all from our Family Coat of Arms No.1 project.  Interesting how he merged them together to make a more complex flourish.

The bottom ribbon came from the Pick-Up League Basketball project.  Looks like he stretched and squished it to make it work. Nice!

The helmet looks like it came from VA3D.com(another part of the Vectric family).  Some great painting and custom modeling to finish out a very nice project.

Nice work Jevon and that is why you have earned the "Weekend CNC Warrior" title!  If you’re interested in more of what Jevon has done with our projects then check out these links...

Finished size was 23.5" x 36" model thikness was 1" w/o the rivets.

Thanks again Jevon for sharing your work with us... we really appreciate it!

Jazz up your castle with this new project!

It would probably be better said... "Blazon up your castle" not "jazz", but you get the idea.  Today we are happy to be adding our 4th coat of arms themed project and, if your counting, that makes 32 models contained in this theme.. WOW.

We are excited to be releasing our second Family Coat of Arms Project.  If you are a bit confused because you noticed that there are already 3 coat of arms themed projects you would be right... there are 3.... now 4.  There are 2 Achievement packs (No.1 and No.2) and one coat of arms base project and this is the second base project.

The base projects were developed around the idea to give you a couple of full basic coat of arms broken apart, so you have all of the bits to mix and match.  Both of the base projects contain 2 full coat of arms, so you would have plenty of bits to work with.  The Achievement Pack models were developed to be added to the base projects to make them more complex.

Of course, like all of our projects, the models can be used on their own or hacked together with other models in your library

This project includes 10 models:

  • 2 Helmets
  • 2 sets of flourishes (4 models)
  • 2 Shields
  • 2 Ribbons

All 10 for just $50.00!

Order and Download it today!
