Keith Geiger you are "Weekend CNC Warrior" Approved!

One of the great features of our mini-projects is that we design them to be hacked together with other mini-project models or models you have in your collection.

It is so nice to see a CNCminiProjects user like Keith take our models and make them look so good and "hack" them together with models in his existing library.

Keith took our Pick-up League Football project as a base and then added his own baseball and bats model to create this super plaque for his son!

Love that finish!!!!

Using that same layout he created this fantastically finished sample plaque using some paints!!!  WOW!

"I use a CarveWright CNC.  Stain and oil based paints with clear out spray sealer.  Not much finishing needed.  You have a great product."

Thanks Keith for emailing us the great images the great comment!

Carl Hird-Rutter - "Weekend CNC Warrior" Approved!

WOW... we love it sooooo much when we get feedback from our customers.

Carl Hird-Rutter is one of those "Weekend CNC Warriors" that can take one of our mini-projects and blow our minds with what he comes up with!

Carl made this fantastic sign for one of his customers using the Western Saloon No.1 mini-project.

"I mounted the skull on three dowels to raise it off the background.

The finish was Briwax light brown then acrylic urethane for weather proofing

The sign is about 18 x 22 "

We never thought someone would mount the skull off the backing with dowels... but he did... FANTASTIC!!!  Also he turned the Rustic Sign base upsidedown... nice touch Carl!

"The png's import into the Carvewright  (http://www.carvewright.com/with no problems. I can set the depth of the carving before I import and adjust it afterward if need be. The results are excellent.

I am amazed at the quality of the patterns. The project ideas are great and really get the ideas flowing. I can't wait to get more patterns."

Thanks again Carl for all the great picture and comments.  Consider yourself...  Weekend CNC Warrior Approved!

We love to hear from our customers so if you have created a project with one of our mini-projects feel free to send us an image or two!  We want to see it and we will be sure to post it here in our blog: if you let us.

Thanks for reading... and if you made it this far please leave a comment!

Happy and Safe CNC'ing!!!!

PNGs for our CarveWright friends!

Just a quick little post to all of our CarveWright friends out there who have been wondering if they can use our mini-projects.  The answer is YES!!!!

All of our mini-projects are offered in a gray-scale, PNG format that can be imported into your software.

We know this might not be the preferred method and most would like us to offer the .PTN version.  We are hoping to do that in the future once we get our hands on the software to make the conversion (psst... if you know someone at CarveWright, wink, wink, point them in our direction).

For now, and you can test this out with our free mini-project, just import in the .PNG grayscale and your software should convert the levels of gray into the bas-relief.

Give it a go and if you have any questions, suggestion, or comments... please leave them for us to ponder.

Well... what are you waiting for!  Get carving!!!!
