Update - Home for the Holidays No.4 is now free for V-Carve Desktop and Pro users!

Last year we created the Home for the Holidays No.4 for a free giveaway that Vectric was hosting on their Labs Blog called the "12 Projects of Christmas".  At that time Aspire was the only Vectric product that could take advantage of our models... now that has all changed.

We are happy to now be offering this project to Aspire, VCarve Desktop and Pro V8 Users (along with an STL and PNG version) for free.  That's right FREE!!!

Here is what you get when you download this CNC project:

  • 5 models
  • 1 Assembled Layout
  • Project Sheet

We have also created a "free to anyone" set of snowflake vectors for V-Carving and a special project sheet to help you use them and get inspired! The download link is available on the project page.

Even though we are now offering the .V3M installer on Design&Make it is still worth your while to visit the Vectric Labs Blog and take a look at the original post.  There is all kinds of great information on how to CNC and finish their layout.

Below are some other great layouts you might consider for finished projects!

Vectric's layout... looking good!

This project is primed for holiday hacking!  Add in models from any of our other Home for the Holiday  CNC projects or clip-art form your own library to really make an impression!

Let's get an early start of those holiday and Christmas gifts.  Sorry, but this year you won't have an excuse for not getting them done on time!

Assembled Layouts and Clipart Installer

We have some exciting changes to share with you.  Oh yes, it's almost March and we have been busy over the last few weeks upgrading projects, adding content and making things easier.  As we look farther into 2015 there will be even more interesting things happening here... but for now we would like to share just a few with you.

Assembled layout included with the Pick-Up League - Soccer project.

Those of you that have purchased a project from us in the past probably had this idea cross your mind, "Why don't they just include in a sample layout to get us started?".  Yes!  That's a great idea and it’s been on our to-do list for a while now.  As of this post every project in the Project Shop has received an upgrade of an "Assembled" layout.  That's right, when you purchase a project it will come with a sample layout for you to load, size and toolpath right out of the box, so to speak.

When looking at one of our projects in the Project Shop just scroll down below the images of the individual models, just above the Project Sheet and you will find an image of the assembled layout that is included with that project.

Pretty neat EH?

Installer for the Be Mine No.1 project.

Another useful change we've made is that all of you Vectric Aspire users will no longer be downloading a zipped file containing your project.  From here on out you will be given a download link to a file that will install your purchase directly into the Vectric clipart folder.  All of your projects will end up in the same place every time making them easy to access from Aspire’s Clip Art tab.

Slick... right?

Need some extra help with the installer and and how to locate your project?  Check out this short video.

Still have questions... contact us and we will get back to you as soon as we can with a great answer.

That's just about it for now but there is plenty more to come!  Keep an eye on our Shop Notes section of the site or keep subscribed to the Newsletter to keep on top of them!

Last few months... we've been growing.

You may have noticed we were pretty quiet last month... sorry about that.  Seemed that we got caught up in all sorts of projects and, as most side projects do, CNCminiProjects seemed to be what suffered.

Last month we didn't publish any new mini-projects or send out any alerts.   We were light on adding any content and even our social presence (Twitter and G+) was... well... not present hardly at all.

So... its a new month and we wanted to let you all know that we did not get hit by a bus and you can expect more from us this month.

If you are on our mailing list you will have received an alert for our newest addition - Pop's Tool Shop No.1 mini-project.  We hope you have taken a few seconds and checked it out.  So far it has been pretty popular.  We can only assume that the style and subject is appealing to a lot of you Weekend CNC Warriors!  You can expect more like this in the future.

In and around the month of May we released 2 sports pick-up league themed min-projects: Basketball and Hockey.  Both seem to be missing posts in our Shop Notes section... so this will have to do for now.  If you missed them or would like to know what to expect in the Football and Soccer versions take a second and check them out.

We hope this makes up a bit for any lost posts and information we wanted to share.  There is lots more planned for the future so don't cancel the email subscription yet.... please... please.

Safe CNC'ing to you all... and enjoy the summer!

The CNCminiProjects Team

PS... leave a comment... we would love to hear from you!
